We all know the recent news of Duterte's statements that caused many criticisms during his press briefings. Although it is what Duterte's nature is, there are some who wants him to act presidential.

For instance, Senator-elect Leila De Lima, who promised to be his visualizer, wants him to act like a president. Adding that him realizing that being presidential is not only for his sake but for the people as well.

She said that "the recent statements of the President-elect on the church, media killings, sexual harassment, and the UN (United Nations), with matching outlandish behavior during his press cons, are all vintage Duterte". And also included that:

"President-elect Duterte must not be so intolerant to all criticisms as to fail to recognize the folly of attacking women, the catholic church, the media, and now the international community of nations under the UN."

Despite the fact that Duterte already showed his straightforwardness from the start of his campaign, De Lima is questioning Duterte's "metamorphosis" when he takes office.

"Sadly", she says, "the fact that he is now President-elect does not mean he will change his worldview or attitude". But if he does change, De Lima says that:

"We just have to do our part in opposing his positions against human rights and the freedom of the press, especially whenever they are manifested in reality or are carried out as government policy and action."

Lastly, she stated that "despite all this, we still hope though that he finally realizes the respect owed to the office he now holds, and live up to the dignity and honor expected from the one who holds it."

  1. De Lima should LEAVE HIM ALONE, let him do at his own pace. She has no right TO BE DICTATING HIM she is not the leader of the nation, HE IS. so back off. If De Lima can't wait for Hon Duterte's settlement we the public urged her to Shut Up & stop trying to act like a hawk. If she goes in cycle SHE CAN GO TO HELL.
