Everyone likes listening to music, and everyone likes cute kids, especially those with serious talent. Luckily for you, this video has both.
Here
we see Akim Camara, age five, playing Felix Mendelssohn's "Dance of the
Fairies" with violinist Andre Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra. Akim
hails from Berlin and has been playing music since he was two--before he could
speak and while he was still in diapers. He has the amazing ability to remember
music after only hearing it once or twice. Watch the video below and see how a
massive audience instantly reacted to Akim's lovely performance.
Today, Akim is 14 years
old and still plays the violin and piano, though he prefers to keep out of the
spotlight. However, that doesn't mean he's not still pursuing his passion, as
you can see in the video below from a 2013 performance.
Akim doesn't read music,
but instead remembers everything he hears and plays from memory. He's still
fairly young, so we don't know what he'll choose to do musically in the future.
Nevertheless, we can't wait to hear more music from him, whatever it might be.
Until then, you can check out his YouTube channel for more of his performances.
