As the partial results was released for "FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2016" by the local men's magazine, guess who was the woman dominating votes online. It's "On the Wings of Love" actress, Nadine Lustre!
Nadine's votes is ahead of Jennylyn Mercado which was last year, 2015's winner and even Kapamilya actress, Jessy Mendiola. While judge of "Pilipinas Got Talent" Angel Locsin is placed fourth, actress-singer Rhian Ramos finished at the top five.
Her fans on Twitter were both enthusiastic and amused about the initial results. They even jokingly pressed on actor James Reid, real-time boyfriend of Lustre, to "stay strong" remembering James in an interview that he doesn't agree to Nadine modelling for sexy photo shoots.
Last year, Mercado followed actress Andrea Torres and "Passion de Amor" starlet Ellen Adarna before the votes were concluded. However, she didn't break a sweat as she overtook both actresses and entitled as the sexiest woman in the country for 2015.
Though 22-year-old Lustre was running at 49th place in last year's poll, she notably skyrocketed to the top of this year. After having a successful run of the primetime series "On the Wings of Love", this may be regarded as the cause of her leap in votes which concluded on Friday.
