Internet sensation Antonette Tismo, also known as 'Kakanin Diva', decided to reach a wider audience. She did this through auditioning on the third season of 'The Voice Kids Philippines'.
The 13-year-old appeared in the June 5 episode of the talent competition. There, Antonette was able to stun the judges namely Lea Salonga, Sharon Cuneta and Bamboo.
Also, she sang the song called 'Sayang na Sayang' popularized by Aegis. Moreover, she immediately had the three judges turn for her.
Coach Sharon claims that she has emotion while singing. Coach Lea, on the other hand, said: "Ang galing mong bata ka. Kahit napakataas na, hindi tunog sigaw, tunog kanta parin,"
While, coach Bamboo added: "Ang nagustuhan ko talaga 'yung clarity ng voice mo. Yung sarili mong style ay pinapasok mo sa kanta," The emotional Antonette chose to be a member of Team Sharon.
Meanwhile, Antonette is the eldest of five siblings who lives with her family under a bridge in Parañaque City. She became viral in 2014 and had the nickname 'Kakanin Diva'.
She was asked back then to sing while she was selling 'kalamay', a Filipino treat. Furthermore, Antonette is a daughter of a construction worker and helps in selling street food, repack vegetables and assists cars in parking at night.
